Pretty Birthday Card

Here's one of my favorite birthday cards ever! I have a feminie & masculine version. I'll try to post the masculine version tomorrow. These cards are very easy to make, but look so elegant. If you want the dimensions, send me an email & I'll send them to you. Here's the "stuff" I used to make the card:

Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Bella Rose DSP & Whisper White.

Ink: Riding Hood Red & Pink Pirouette

Ribbon: Michaels

Accessories: brads, nestabilities

The butterfly stamp/punch is one that I got several years ago, but I don't know who made them. The stamps are really neat, because I have 3 different butterfly designs that all fit the same punch. The ribbon holds the kiwi kiss part down over the bella rose DSP. The birthday sentiment is hidden under the DSP. This type of card may be called a waterfall card, I'm not sure.

Better run. Winnie & I still have to walk tonight. We're going to try to walk 3-4 times a week, so you guys who are following the blog will have to hold us to our word.

Have a great day.

Happy Stamping

Another Easter Card

Here's another Easter card I'm using this year, just in two different colorways. I have no idea who made the stamps, I've had them for a very long time. I just found them when I was rearranging my craft room. Funny what you find when you go through old boxes, bags, files etc......

Anyway, the pink card is made with Stampin' Up Pink Piourette card stock, Bella Rose DSP & Riding Hood Red ink. The purple one is made with Lovely Lilac cardstock, Lovely Lilac DSP & Lovely Lilac ink. I colored the images with Prismas and blended the colors with blending stumps and baby oil. This is my new favorite technique now. Guess I never grew up and got past coloring.

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Happy Stamping,

Patty & Winifred

P S Winnie & I walked 2 miles this evening when I got home from work. I'm trying to loose some of the weight that I've put on over the past 2 years. I'll be good for a while, then..... Love those Cosmopolitans, but boy are they high in calories. I even use Diet Cranberry juice to cut down on the calories. When are they going to come out with zero calorie vodka??????

Spring Bunnies

Here's a beautiful bunny scene for spring. Bunnies are so cute, and we just love them at our house. However, my DH has requested that we not buy anything else with bunnies on them. He says they are multiplying everywhere!!

Here's the supply list (all supplies Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted):

Paper: Lovely Lilac, Kiwi Kiss & Lovely Lilac DSP

Ink: Staz On Black

Ribbon: Elegant Eggplant

Prisma colored pencils w/baby oil instead of gamsol for blending. If you've never tried this technique, a friend of mine over at dj's useless crafts (I have a link to her blog on the right side of mine under blogs I follow) has a wonderful tutorial. She has given me permission to link to it, so pop on over & check it out! Then let us know what you think!! http://uselesscrafts.blogspot.com/2009/02/prismacolor-pencil-tutorial.html

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

Happy Stamping!

Fun Birthday Card

This is a fun card that I did several months ago. It uses the following Stampin' Up! items:
Brilliant Blue & Whisper White card stock, and Brilliant Blue designer series paper. I also us the small & regular tag punches; the scallop circle, & the 1 1/4 & 1 3/8 circle punches. I used the

1 3/8" circle punch on the front of the card, the stamped the sentiment (unknown origin) on white cardstock, then punched it out with the 1 1/4" circle punch. I kept the front closed & inset the sentiment circle, then punched the scallop circle out of Brilliant Blue card stock & placed around the punch out of the front of the card. Very very easy. When you open it up, the "happy birthday" is on the inside. The inside sentiment was also stamped with some clear stamps that I've had for a while.

Thanks for stopping by & happy stamping!

Spring Song

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you like the card I've posted today. It's one of my favorite stamp sets from Stampin' Up! called Spring Song. Stampin' Up papers used are: Groovy Guava, Kiwi Kiss & Whisper White. I stamped the image in Stampin' Up Basis Grey, and colored the image with Prisma pencils. I tied a grossgrain ribbon bow and attached with a glue dot. I inked around the whisper white in Groovy Guava. Lastly I used my 2-Way glue pen and added clear glitter to the hummingbird. I gave my mothe-in-law a set of these cards as part of her birthday present.

Hummingbirds are very special to my MIL & me. While she was visiting us in Louisianna a number of years ago (Fort Polk), we loved spending time on the screen porch watching the hummingbirds around my feeders. One morning a hummingbird accidentally flew into the door and fell to the ground. I happened to be watching at the time, so I picked up the little fellow and thought he was dead. I took him into the house and was showing my MIL when all of the sudden he picked his head up. My MIL screamed to get the bird out of the house before he started flying. He sat in my hand for a few more minutes, (I swear I could see stars circling about his little head!). Finally, he flew off. So a very happy ending to what could have been a very sad story.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend, and happy stamping. Thanks for stoping by, and please come again soon.

Our first post ever!

This is our first post. My name is Winifred, Winnie for short. I'm a 2 year old Shih Tzu, and I rule our home. My mommy & daddy spoil me rotten. I have a car seat in each vehicle, a stroller, and my own au pair for when my mommy & daddy go out of town and can't take me. My favorite getaway is the Greenbrier in While Sulphur Springs WV. It's where they used to have they big bunker for all the congress people to evacuate to in the event of a nuclear war. Now it's just a beautiful, peaceful place to walk, hike, bike, rest etc. Now, I'll turn this over to my mommy for her comments.

Hi, I'm Patty and I love paper crafting. I love to make cards, scarpbook, and do 3-D paper items. I'm attaching one of my favorite cards that I made to use as thank you cards for my clients at work.
I hope to post regularly, so please check back often.
