Digi Challenge over at Fred She Said + Winifred!

This is the card I came up with from the challenge over at Fred She Said here http://fred-she-said.blogspot.com/2009/07/freds-freebie-challenge.html. They gave you the free digi stamp and you were to design a card for it. This was a really fun challenge, plus I LOVE the stamp!
The 2 pics of Winnie were taken Friday night after she got home from the spa. As I posted earlier, she was exhausted. I think these pictures are just too cute!
Here's the deets on the card:
Stamps: Digi stamp from Fred She Said, Bitty Birthday (sentiment)
Paper: Soft Sky, Purely Pomegranite, Wild Wasabi & Candy Lane DSP
Ink: Blue Bayou
Misc: Big Shot, Fiskars texture plates
I choose the colors because the Wild Wasabi matched the green in the image very well.

Get Well

I saw a card very similar to this on SCS and fell in love with it. Unfortunately, I forgot to copy the designer, so if anyone knows who did the original, please let me know so that I can give them proper credit. However, this is probably the only one of these I will make because it took forever to cut out the intricate design! UGH......
Stamps: Kind & Caring Thoughts
Paper: River Rock, Rich Razzleberry & Beige
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Misc: glitter, 2 way glue pen, prearls, MS tri butterfly punch, SU tag punches
Winnie is still very tired from her day at the spa yesterday! She slept in this morning, and then has been asleep all day. She won't even come upstairs with me to my craft room!

MMSC10 challenge but I missed the deadline!

I loved last weeks MMSC10 challenge! I just thought the layout was so versatile. I made all of these cards last weekend, but then didn't get them uploaded before the deadline on Tues night! YIKES. Two of the cards, the top & bottom are 5"x7". The middle one is the standard A2 size (5 1/2" x 4 1/4"). They were so much fun to do! I made an additional 8 of the middle size ones to use for the masculine birthday cards for my clients in August.
Winnie went to the groomer today. She goes to Olde Towne School for Dogs, and is so pampered there!!! While I was waiting for them to bring her down, a lady came in with 2 Portugese Water Dogs. Right inside the door is a display of bulk dog treats. (The plastic bin kind like they have in the grocery store.) One of the dogs walked up to the display, took his nose & pushed up the lid and helped himself to a treat. It was so funny!!!! Of course the lady was upset with the dog, but I thought it was adorable!
Here's the details on the cards:
Middle & Bottom Card
Stamps: Stipple Shells, Beautiful Beach, Bity Birthday (sentiment)
Paper: Night of Navy, Brocade Blue & White
Ink: Night of Navy, Brocade Blue, Bashful Blue
Misc: MS Sea Horse punch, dew drops, buttons, SU ticket corner punch, pop dots
Top Card
Stamps: Nostalgia
Paper: Mellow Moss, River Rock, Perfect Plum
Ink: Perfect Plum, Mellow Moss, Versa Mark
Misc: MS Butterfly trio punch, grapes & leaves dew drops, Elegant Eggplant ribbon
I have more cards to post tomorrow, so check back.

Ugly card, pretty flower basket

Sorry that I've been "hiding" for the past few nights. I was sick AGAIN yesterday!!! I just can't seem to get healthy & well. I haven't been sleeping and I know that's adding to the issues. Anyway, today was MUCH better!

This is a card I did last Friday night for the VSN (Virtual Stamp Night) challenges over on SCS. They had 4 challenges, and this was the first one--doing something using the old round hole punch. This is all I could come up with, a round hole embellishment. The color is Elegant Eggplant, but it look almost black in the picture. I'll post the other 2 challenges that I participated in later in the week. However, I don't have any of the details for this card, because other than the elegant eggplant, the rest of the cardstock was scraps. And the stamp is one I've had for years. However, the ink is Elegant Eggplant, and the sentiment is punched using the SU lg oval and the scallop oval punch.

Have a great evening. Tomorrow is pizza night here at our house. (We have pizza EVERY Friday night.) Until then........

Happy Stamping!

Another Birdie Thank You

Here's another square card that I did right after we got home from Alaska. This was for the dog walker who walked Winifred each day while she was visiting Maisie. Again, I used some of the new In Colors which are really really pretty.
Stamps: Wings of Friendship, Fancy Flexible Phrases
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, White
Ink: Bermuda Bay & Melon Mambo
Markers: Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry & Certainly Celery
Misc: Lg oval punch, scallop oval punch, pop dots
I stamped the bird twice, cut him out & popped him up. You can't really tell from the photo, but in real life it made it very dimensional.
Got a lot to do today, so more tomorrow!

Good afternoon everyone. Finally I'm feeling a little better. Got up a little while ago & ate some toast & an ice pop. So far so good!

Today's card is another Martha Stewart bird. I don't like it very much because I didn't get any shading in the bird. I need to try another one.

Sick Riley Get Well Card

Isn't this the cutest Riley? I really love coloring the Riley stamps! Here's all the details:

Stamps: Sick Riley, Designer Lable (SU) & Sentiment from Technique Tuesday
Paper: Good Morning Sunshine DSP, Pacific Point, Summer Sun & white
Ink: Summer Sun & Pacific Point
Misc: Pacific Point ribbon, Designer Lable punch

I was very sick & had to stay home from work. I've had some kind of gastro intestinal bug, and it has been terrible. I still don't feel well at all.

Winnie got to see her "boyfriend" twice today. His name is Mr Bug, and he's a black & white Japanese Chin. He is absolutely the cutest thing. They just adore each other, and as soon as they see each other they go running to meet each other. When they play you can't tell where one dog starts and the other stops!

Going to close for tonight.

Purple Bird Card

I'm going to have 2 posts tonight, so make sure you check them both out. This card is for the MMSC (Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge) that I've been playing on & off for a month or so. I really really liked this sketch, and as soon as I saw it last night I ran upstairs to make a card. I didn't photograph it until after work tonight and almost missed the cut off! (8pm ET). I got home & got it photographed, but then made another card, and then unmounted some more stamps. I just totally lost track of time I was having so much fun!!!! Anyway, I seem to be making a lot of purple cards, and a lot of bird cards. I wonder what that means????? If there's any phyciatrists out there, don't let me know. :0

Winnie is having so much fun with her daddy at home with her all day. She watches him work out, and then waits for him to clean up. Then they have their coffee and start their day.

Here's the details for the card tonight:

Stamps: MS Birds
Paper: Lovely Lilac, Lovely Lilac DSP, Almost Amethyst & White
Ink: Lovely Lilac
Misc: Fiskars border punch, prisma colored pencils, baby oil, blending stumps, lovely lilac ribbon, brads

Guess that's all for now. More tomorrowl

Sorry it's been so long!

Well, it took me a week to recover from vacation!!!! We had so much fun, but didn't stop the entire time. We had so many wonderful adventures, so I can't say which was my favorite. But some of my favorite memories was eating king crab on the side of the road in Juneau on the spur of the moment, the butterfly garden in Victoria, BC, Canada, the mother & calf hump back whale that we got to watch for over 1/2 an hour, all the Bald Eagles, and shopping for Russian eggs.

It really was a fabulous trip, and my dear MIL seemed to really enjoy herself also. We all had so much fun together. And it was nice having the butler so that we didn't have to go to the dinning room on the nights that we were too tired. He would go and bring us the menu for the evening, and that way we didn't have to use room service. That is the main reason we always sail Celebrity, because if you get a suite, you get a butler. Boy was I spoiled. He brought cappuccinos 30 minutes before he brought breakfast every monring. And every morning I had Eggs Benedict! Yummy!

I'll post some pictures later in the week. I have to get them off the other computer, so it will be a few days.

My card today was a lot of fun. I had colored it some time ago, but never made it into a card. Here's the details:

Stamps: Serene Spring, small butterfly above the sentiment is from Inkadinkado, and the sentiment (outside & inside ) is unknown acrylic stamps
Paper: Tea Party DSP, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Certainly Celery & White
Misc: SU Pretties 1/2 back pearls, Pretty in Pink ribbon, prismacolor pencils, baby oil, blending stumps, pop dots, stickles on butterfly wings

I will post again tomorrow, and try to get back into my routine. I hope eveyone has a wonderful week!
