Christmas Pooch

I found this stamp in the $ bin @ Ms. I thought he was soooooo cute, and looks so ready for Christmas. We have antlers for Winnie for Christmas, so I'll have to take a picute & post it for everyone to see how cute she looks as a reindeer.
Speaking of reindeers, my MIL & I feed some while we were in Alaska back in the summer. They are so sweet.
And speaking of Alaska, DH & I have another Alaska cruise scheduled for the first 2 weeks of May. I am already getting excited!
Here's the deets on the card:
Paper: Whisper White & Christmas DSP
Ink: Garden Green & Black Staz-On
Misc: Prismas, SU garden green & real red markers, SU Oval & scalloped oval punch
Have a great week.

I still haven't come up with a card for my invitations. Going back upstairs to work on it some more.

Birdie Thank You

I really enjoyed making this card. I used the SU In-Colors along with Always Artichoke. The colors just coordinate so beautifully. I think this just epitomizes fall. The colors, the pheasant, everything.
It was a very busy week as I said last night. I love it when I'm busy at work, because the days just fly by, and then it's the weekend. I hope to spend the entire weekend in my craft room.
I need to make at least 35 Christmas open house invitations this weekend. I have no real ideas on what I want to do, although I am thinking about snow men........maybe. I wish I had some ideas, but none are really coming to me. But, we'll see what I come up with. So, I'm off to SCS to see what inspires me over there.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! More to come.

Rooster Birthday

The photo really doesn't do justice to this card. The rooster is stamped in elegant eggplant, but appears to be washed out. The colors are very vibrant IRL. I used my nesties to cut out the whisper white & the elegant eggplant behind the rooster. The DSP has a lot of fall colors and is really pretty IRL. I can't remember the name of it.

It's been a busy week at work, but tomorrow is Friday, so that's great!

MMSC 27

This is the card I made for the midnight madness challenge over on Priscilla's blog here: http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/2009/11/midnight-madness-week-27-mmsc27.html. The card is very sparkly IRL--the layers are as follows:

real read
Anna Griffith holly background
gold metalic paper that I ran through my Sizzix using the SU embossing folder

There is no stamping on this card (except the inside sentiment!) Yes, no stamping for Patty on this card. The images are rub-ons from M's. The holly & stocking are popped up, and the buttons are rubbed directly onto the paper. (The holly & stocking with the cute little mouse was rubbed onto white CS, then cut out & popped up w/pop dots).

The white poinsettia is outlined with gold stickles. I may go back & add gold beads to the center over the gold brad. The holly & stocking are also sparkly IRL!

I had such a great time making this card. I hope you like it.

Fall Birthday

Happy Sunday everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in so long. It was a busy week.
We went to the Navy vs Univ of Delaware game yesterday. We went to a tail gate party before the game. I had never been tailgating before, and it was a lot of fun!!!! The host was an academy graduate, and everyone had a great time. And yes, my husband is Army, but they welcomed us with open arms anyway. LOL
My card today is one I made a month or so ago. The colors didn't come out very well, but they're yo yo yellow, garden green & elegant eggplant. The eggplant always looks allmost black in my photos.
Finally, Stampin' Up is going to offer their stamps without the wood!!! Yeah, and they're going to be cheaper too! I'm soooooooooo looking forward to the new stamps!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

digi kitty thank you

Another digi image that I don't remember where I got it. I used my Bics "Mark Its" to color this image as I don't have Copics. I prefer my prismas & baby oil still.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

Get Well

I love the colors of this card. I made 2 of these cards to have on hand. I love blue & grey together.
I must stop and pray for the soldiers that we lost in the Fort Hood shooting. We have a house right outside of Fort Hood and were stationed there for a total of 10 years. Damon worked for the current commander of Fort Hood, and I just pray that all will be okay there. Please honor all of our military in uniform, and say a special prayer for them.

Flower Soft Digi Kitty

Happy Wednesday everyone! Yeah, the week is more than half through, even though I do have to work for a little while this Saturday.

My card today was a lot of fun. It's a digital image that I colored with prismas and baby oil. I then added flower soft for the flowers rather than coloring them in. The background flourishes are some acrylic stamps that I found I had bought some time ago. The yellow is SU yo yo yellow, and the blue is SU brilliant blue.

It has turned a little cool here. I love fall and cool weather. It's my favorite time of the year. The leaves have turned all colors, and it's really beautiful here.

I hope everyone is having a great week.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Elegant Thank You

These cards were really fast & fun to make. For some reason I'm stuck on purple again, and these just came together for me. I needed more thank you notes for work, so I made 4 of each.
I can't remember all the deets for these cards. The Thank You is Elegant Thank You by Stampin' Up. The DSP is SU too. The Old Olive is embossed w/a Fiskars embossing plate using my Sizzix big shot. I also used ribbon on one of the cards.
It is so good to be back blogging again, and finally feeling like we are settling into our new home.
Hope everyone had a great Monday!

2 Birthday Cards

Here are 2 birthday cards I made for use at work. The DSP is from a Debbie Mumm stack that I got at JoAnn's. The pink card's background is Pretty in Pink & the yellow is So Saffron. The inks are pretty in pink & rose red; so saffron & yo yo yellow.
I got a lot of stamping done yesterday afternoon, so I hope to take the pictures today. I played the Midnight Madness challenge, so I might post that later today, so make sure you check back.
