Speedy Fox & Friends Blog Challenge

Our blog challenge for you this week is to use pumpkins on your card.  I not only have pumpkins in my image, but I had this wonderful pumpkin charm that I found in my stash!  I used the "Autumn Glory" stamp set again this week by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. I used 2 different ribbons on my card today too.  I had some really pretty orange sheer ribbon, and put the 1/4" grossgrain ribbon on top of it.  I like the way it came out.

Stamps:  Autumn Glory
Paper:  Corn Husk, Orange from my stash, DSP
Ink:  Soft Suede
Misc:  Copies, nesties, ribbon, charm

I hope that you will play along with us this week.  Have a wonderful day!

I did 2 cards today.  I love the cabin scene from today's featured stamp set, but I also had to use my new Cricut cartridge with the teddy bear fishing also!

For my top scenic cabin card, I stamped the image and colored it with my Prismas and baby oil.  I added diamond glaze to the lake to make it look like water.  It doesn't show up in the photo, but IRL it look really cool.  I also used Scenic Selections to add some birds and a little bit of grass.

Stamps:  On the Fly, Scenic Selections
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Always Artichoke, DSP
Ink:  Early Espresso, Always Artichoke
Misc:  Prismas, baby oil, ribbon, diamond glaze

For my second card I used my brand new Cricut cartridge called Teddy Bear Parade.  I used the litle fisher teddy.  I made this a gate fold card.  I stamped the background with VersaMark usiing the fish image from the set.  I then stamped the sentiment.

Stamps:  On the Fly
Paper:  Kraft, various from my stash
Ink:  Early Espresso, VersaMark
Misc: Cricut, Teddy Bear Parade cartridge

I just love this cute little set that we are featuring today.  Instead of making a card, I made a  post-it note cover.  I stamped the cracked background on my entire cover (front & back), stamped the hello and backed it with rose red paper and fussy cut my butterfly, colored it with my Copics, and popped it up on pop dots.  Added some rhinestoes & ribbon, and voila', done. Very fast and easy project.  I think I'm going to make a few more and give them to the girls at work.  I like projects that can be quickly mass produced.

Stamps:  Cracked Hello
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Rose Red
Ink:  Rose Red
Misc:  ribbon, rhinestones, pop dots

A Friendly Snowman and Falling Leaves

Yesterday's Inspiration Challenge site over on SCS was Pier One Imports.  There was so much inspiration to be found there!!!!  My first card is my cute little snow fellow from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  I really love this stamp set.  I'm going to use it for some of my open house invitations.  Here's the details:

Stamps:  Snow Gifts
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Aged Berry, Imaginisce "Christmas Cottage" paper pad
Ink:  Palette Noir Black
Misc:  Copics, ribbon, snowman charm, star stick pin

For my 2nd card, I used my Art Philosophy cartridge and the leaf stamp from the stamp set "Celebrations" from Close to My Heart.  I love how this card turned out.  I made more of them to use for my masculine birthday cards next month.  I used VersaMark ink to stamp my background, then cut out the leaves and stamped them.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  It's been glorious here in Northern Virginia!

Speedy Fox & Friends Blog Challenge 1 Post Down~~Autumn Glory Birthday

This is my card for today's Inspiration Challenge over on SCS.  The site was a British site called Magpie.  I chose a mug with a beautiful pheasant as my inspiration for this card.  After I stamped and colored my image, I sponged around the edges with More Mustard ink.  I think it really added that "little something" that was needed.  The sentiment is stamped on a label that I cut out with my Cricut and my new CTMH cartridge called Art Philosophy.  The stamps that I used for my card are from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co called "Autumn Glory".  The birthday sentiment is from "Bring on the Sun".

Stamps:  Autumn Glory, Bring on the Sun (sentiment)
Paper:  Corn Husk, More Mustard, Cosmo Cricket "Matilda" mini deck
Ink:  Early Espresso
Misc:  Copics, ribbon, buttons, bakers twine, Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge

Thanks for stopping by again today.  I hope you liked both of my cards.

Speedy Fox & Friends Blog Challenge

Today's Speedy Fox & Friends blog challenge is to use ribbon, embossing and either dies or punches on your card.  I was able to use all 4 on this card.  I used nesties to cut out my flower and square punches to cut out my sentiment.  And, I added a hat pin too!  LOL

Stamps:  Dogwood Blossoms
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette
Ink:  Palette Charcoal, Pretty in Pink
Misc:  Copics, square punches, nesties, ribbon, hat pin, embossing folder

I hope that you will play along with us this week!  You could even be the lucky winner of a Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. stamp set!

Sea Shelll Birthday

Today's "Ways to Use It" challenge on SCS was entitled "What are the Odds?" We were challenged to use an odd number of things on our card.  Well, my image has 3 shells.   The image is from Mark's Finest Paper's, a Heinrich Co called "Silly Shells".  Additionally, I dry embossed 5 shells along the edge of my card, and then scored 3 lines down the side to sepaate the dry emobssing from the stamped image that was cut from nesties and popped up on pop dots.

Stamps:  Silly Shells
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Pacific Point
Ink:  Pacific Point
Misc: brass embossing stencil, nesties
