Get Well

I love the colors of this card. I made 2 of these cards to have on hand. I love blue & grey together.
I must stop and pray for the soldiers that we lost in the Fort Hood shooting. We have a house right outside of Fort Hood and were stationed there for a total of 10 years. Damon worked for the current commander of Fort Hood, and I just pray that all will be okay there. Please honor all of our military in uniform, and say a special prayer for them.

Flower Soft Digi Kitty

Happy Wednesday everyone! Yeah, the week is more than half through, even though I do have to work for a little while this Saturday.

My card today was a lot of fun. It's a digital image that I colored with prismas and baby oil. I then added flower soft for the flowers rather than coloring them in. The background flourishes are some acrylic stamps that I found I had bought some time ago. The yellow is SU yo yo yellow, and the blue is SU brilliant blue.

It has turned a little cool here. I love fall and cool weather. It's my favorite time of the year. The leaves have turned all colors, and it's really beautiful here.

I hope everyone is having a great week.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Elegant Thank You

These cards were really fast & fun to make. For some reason I'm stuck on purple again, and these just came together for me. I needed more thank you notes for work, so I made 4 of each.
I can't remember all the deets for these cards. The Thank You is Elegant Thank You by Stampin' Up. The DSP is SU too. The Old Olive is embossed w/a Fiskars embossing plate using my Sizzix big shot. I also used ribbon on one of the cards.
It is so good to be back blogging again, and finally feeling like we are settling into our new home.
Hope everyone had a great Monday!

2 Birthday Cards

Here are 2 birthday cards I made for use at work. The DSP is from a Debbie Mumm stack that I got at JoAnn's. The pink card's background is Pretty in Pink & the yellow is So Saffron. The inks are pretty in pink & rose red; so saffron & yo yo yellow.
I got a lot of stamping done yesterday afternoon, so I hope to take the pictures today. I played the Midnight Madness challenge, so I might post that later today, so make sure you check back.

Candles and a card

These are some candles I made for a co-worker for her birthday. They were quick & easy, and I like the way they came out. I found candles on sale for $1 each at Michaels a couple of months ago. So I bought a bunch of them to decorate & have on hand for just such an occasion. I used some DSP by Debbie Mumm from a stack I got at Jo Ann's, and Martha Stewart punches for the butterflies. I put 1/2 pearls on the butterflies to decorate them. The "ribbon" is actually paper ribbon I bought from HSN.
The card goes along with the bag that I posted on Thursday. Just thought you might like to see it too. The purple (SU Elegant Eggplant) looks black in the picture. I tried different lighting sources, etc, but it always photographs as black for some reason.
I finally took pics & edited a number of cards, so I'm ready to post on a regular basis now. So check back tomorrow to see what Winnie & I have in store for you.
Speaking of Winnie, she really had some adjustment issues with the new house. She was really suffering from separation anxiety, and I even had to take her to the doctor. They put her on some meds, but really the only thing that helped was time. She would bark and carry on when I left her in the mornings. Now she is doing much much better.
Until tomorrow, happy stamping!

Bear gift bag

This is the gift bag I made to hold the candle & journal I made for our new next door neightbor as a thank you gift for the wonderful home made German Chocolate cake she made for us to welcome us to the neighborhood. It was delicious!!!! I almost licked the plate. It was so thoughtful of her to make us a cake!

Sorry I've been away for so long. Just trying to get settled into the new house has been a real challenge in a lot of ways. And my craft room is still not fully unpacked.

Thanks for looking and I hope to be back tomorow or Friday at the latest!
