Pink Rose

Today's Inspiration Challenge was a site called Better Photo.  They had a photo of a beautiful red rose, so that was my inspiration for this card, only I made my rose pink (of course LOL).   I love the stamp set Love Remains by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company.  It has great images and sentiments!

Stamps:  Love Remains
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Grandma's Lightest Pink, always artichoke, regal rose
Ink:  Palette Noir Black
Misc:  copics, ribbon rose charm

I'm feeling much much better today!  I can't believe it has taken me 2 weeks to get over the bronchitis and pneumonia!  It's my DHs birthday today, so we're going out to dinner with friends.  That should be a lot of fun!

I hope everyone is well, and that you have a wonderful weekend!

You Are Cherished

Today's featured stamper over on SCS was Darsie, and she has one gorgeous gallery!  I finally ssettled on this card to CASE.  I really had a lot of fun making this card.  Her card had a flower stamp at the top and bottom of the sentiment, but since I didn't have an appropriate flower stamp I used paper flowers and MS ferns and leaf punches.  I really like the way this card turned out.  It's what I had in my head when I started.  Don't you just love it when an idea comes together the way you have it imagined???

Stamps:  You Are Cherished by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Grandmother's Lightest Pink, Cherry Slush
Ink:  Palette Noir Black, Tim Holtz Distress ink Barn Door (available @ MFP)
Misc:  MS Fern & leaves punches, MS heart corner and border punches, paper flowers, pearls, nesties, bling

I'm feeling better today, but think I'll lay down for a while, as this card took me about 45-60 minutes to construct.  But I think the end product was definitely worth it!

Flower Vine

Today's Inspiration Challenge at SCS was a site called Charleston Gardens and boy did I find a lot of inspiration here.  What a beautiful site for flower, bird, and garden lovers!

I chose the stamp set "Brick Wall" from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company.  My inspriation was an arbor that they had on the site.

Stamps:  Brickk Wall
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Razmatz Berry, unk DSP
Ink:  crumb cake, wild wasabi
Misc:  copics, work punch

I'm feeling a little bit stronger today, but still slept most of the day.  I don't think I'm ever going to get over this stuff!!!

You Crack Me Up

The Free 4 All Challenge over on SCS today was to send a joke on your card.  I have been wanting to use this sentiment for a very long time, but just never had the right motivation.  Well, today was the day.  After spending all week in bed with pneumonia and bronchitis, I finally felt well enough to go to my craft room and make this card.  In case you can't read the sentiment it says "You may be old and cracked...but, you are still in one piece!"  So of course I had to add an egg charm to the card!  LOL.  The stamp set is called "Background Fun" from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company. I really like how this card turned out.

Stamps:  Background Fun
Ink:  Tim Holtz Distress Ink Barn Door
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Cherry Slush
Misc:  ribbon, egg charm

I hope everyone had a much better week than I have had.  Don't forget about Speedy Fox challenge tomorrow over at Mark's Finest Papers and the Monday Challenge on Speedy TV.

Hopefully I'll feel up to making another card tomorrow, so check back to see if I was able to.

Happy Stamping!
