Speedy Fox & Friends challenge~~Window Cards

For this week's Speedy Fox & Friends blog challenge we are making window cards.  I thought for a long time about using a die & cutting out a window in my card.  Then I decided to use a circle nestie and cut a window out for my cut little bunny to peak through.  This image is from the stamp set "Spring Things" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  The top photo is the outside of the card, and the bottom photo is the inside.  I used my Cricut to cut out the grass from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.  The little flowers are from Prima.  I colored my little bunny with my Spectrum Noir pens.

Isn't this the cutest set?  My DH & I rarely go to the movies, but when we do it's always so much fun.  And who doesn't love movie theater pop corn?

I haven't made a tent topper card in a long time, and I thought this set was just perfect for a tent topper card!

I'm struggling trying to learn how to make scenic cards.  I guess this one turned out OK.  I stippled the background (sky & ground) and stamped the rest of the card.  I cut out and popped up the tent trying to add a little more dimension to the scene.

Marsh Silhouettes Video Tutorial Card

 

I'm starting a new "project" each month.  I'm going to make a video featuring the 5th set from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. and post it on the 2nd Monday of each month.  In addition to the card I make for you, I hope to have one or two others to show you that other Design Team members make.  Lois Bak made the extra card today.  Check out Lois' blog here.  I hope you will enjoy this new series of videos. 

This month's 5th set is called "Marsh Silhouettes".  I think it's just beautiful!   I used a new technique that I had never done before--stippling.  I used Bonnie's tutorial from Speedy TV here.  Bonnie is much better at this than I am, so please check out her tutorial.

Another Sympathy Card

Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card for a dear friend who lost her grandfather.  I wanted to keep it simple, and so I used the stamp set "Love Remains" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  I heat embossed the rose and cute it out with my nestabilities.  I ran the white background paper through the swiss dots embossing folder.  A little bit of ribbon and a rose charm, and the card was finished.
