Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge Week #88~~Use a Snowflake

This week for Speedy's Challenge Brenda challenged us to use a snowflake on our card. I used an embossing folder of snowflakes, then stamped just one single snowflake in night of navy for contrast. It was raining when I took this photo and the colors look very dark, almost black, but the CS is Dark Night Navy by MFP, and the ink is night of navy. This was a fun and quick card to make. I hope you will play along with us this week!

A Walk in the Sparkly Woods

This card did not turn out like I had it in my mind's eye. I thought the rhinestones on the trees would look more sparkly and snow like. Oh well. The trees are from the stmap set "A Walk in the Woods" by Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company. There are a total of 4 trees in the set, and I rarely use these trees, but I really like them together,so I think I may try to use these trees to come up with some masculine birthday cards.....we'll see.

This card is from the new stamp set by Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company called "Pucker Up". I think this sentiment is hilarious!!!! I don't know who I'm going to send this to, but it will be someone with a sense of humor!!!

Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge Week 86~~Make a Christmas Card

This week for Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge I challenged everyone to make a Christmas card.  I like the more non-traditional colors of this card. The designer paper is from the Premium Paper Craft Pack Victorian Christmas. I think it really coordinates well with the pinecones that I heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

This photo is really washed out. I'm having to use my small camera rather than our nice Nikon one becasue the battery won't charge on the Nikon and we haven't had a chance to get a new one. It just went out all of the sudden on Friday. I am so frustrated!!!!! This card is so much more stricking IRL than in the photo!!!!

My top card is the card made with the stamp set Pussy Willow. I really like the little chickadee sitting there. I took artistic liberty and made him a dull mustard yellow because I thought it went well with my BG paper.
