Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge Week #57

This was such a fun challenge this week over on Speedy's Blog .   We were suppose to use ivory & lace.  I thought about this challenge all week and finally came up with this card.  I'm pretty happy with it, but wish I would have added a pearl spray, or individual pearls to it.  I think it would have been much more elegant.  Oh well, next time.......

Stamps:  Brick Wall
Paper:  Prima papers "Botanicals", Corn Husk
Ink:  Pear Pizzaz, Crumb Cake
Misc:  lace, Prima flowers

I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day.  Please keep all of our military in your thoughts and prayers.

Giraffe's Everywhere

I made this card for the inspiration challenge this past Saturday on SCS.  My inspiration was a giraffe scarf .  I chose to use the MS leaf punch because giraffes eat leaves.    I thought that was a cute punch.  I made the BG paper using the large giraffe head stamp.

Stamps:  African Veldt by Mark's Finest Papers
Ink:  Tim Holtz Distress Ink Dried Marigold
Paper:  Aged Marigold, Corn Husk by Mark's Finest Papers
Misc:  MS leaf border punch, pop dots

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

TUESDAY May 10, 2011- Here Comes the Grad

My card today is a gift card/money holder.  I cut a  12x12 piece of paper at 4 1/4", scored at 5 1//2 and 11".  I folded the bottom 1" to the inside and used two eyelets to hold the fold in place.  This gives you a place to put the gift card or money in.  It was a very quick and easy gift card holder.

Stamps:  Here Comes the Grad
Paper:  12x12 real red, Snow Storm Smooth
Ink:  Soft Suede, real red, Versa Mark (for the gold embossed tassel inside the card)
Misc:  brads, cording, eyelets, gold embossing powder

Proud to be an American

This is a sneak peak of a set to be relaeased this Tuesday by Mark's Finest Papers call "American Made".  I just LOVE  this set!!!  You'll be seeing a lot of cards made from this set.  I stamped the Snow Storm Smooth white CS with the flag stamp, them embossd it with my star embossing folder.  I ran a piecd of dark night navy CS through another embossing folder and stamped Lady Liberty in night of navy, backed her with cherry slush CS and put it all on the cherry slush CS for the card.  This was a quick and easy card.

Stamps:  American Made
Paper:  Cherry Slush, Snow Storm Smooth, Dark Night Navy by MFP
Ink:  night of navy
Misc:  pop dots, embossing folders
