Yee-Haa Cowboy Birthday

Just loving this cowboy in the Southwest Cowboy stamp set that was just released by Mark's Finest Papers. I used Backbround Fun stamp set behind the cowboy image. For the mat behind the cowboy & the sentiment I crinkled up the soft suede, then inked it with early espresso. I also inked around the blue bayou piece after stamping it with the barbed wire stamp. I just think he is so handsome!!!!
Stamps: Southwest Cowboy
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Corn Husk, Soft Suede, Blue Bayou
Misc: twill tape & charm

Camellia Birthday ****2nd POST TODAY*** SCROLL DOWN TO SEE THE FIRST CARD

I am having so much fun using the supplies from the "Chicken Coop" Premium Paper Craft Pack from Mark's Finest Papers I have found this paper craft pack to be so verstile!!! I stamped the camellia 3 times with versa mark ink, then embossed with silver EP. I cut the camellia apart & layered it 3 times. Popped it up with pop dots. The charm was gold/brass tone, and to make it silver, I used a trick that Faith (markie's mom) taught me--simply press the charm into versa mark ink & put embossing powder in your choice of color & then heat. Viola', a charm in the color of your choice!!! Easy peasy!! And cute too.I used my cricut on this card too. I am really into the Cricut right now for some reason.

Stamps: Apples & Camellia, Take Time & Father's Day (sentiment)
Paper: "Chicken Coop" Premium Paper Craft Pack by MFP & mossy green for the leaves
Ink: Versa Mark
Misc: silver embossing powder, sm & lg tag punches, charm, Cricut, Schoolbook Plantin cartridge, ribbon

Make sure you scroll down to see the 1st post from today--My Green Chickadee!

Happy Stamping!

My green chickadee

I know, IRL there probably aren't any green chickadees, but I took artistic liberty! LOL. I wanted to make a happy card with bright colors for the Inspiration Challenge over on SCS yesterday, so this is what I came up with. I really had a lot of fun using these colors together!

Stamps: Ferns & Chickadee from Mark's Finest Papers
Ink: Tempting Turquoise & Basic Grey
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore & Snow Storm Smooth
Misc: prismas, baby oil, ribbon & charm

I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. I'm headed up to my stamping room to have some fun!

A Pink Rose for You

I just love roses, and this is quickly becoming my favorite rose stamp. It is so easy to color with chalks, prismas and baby oil, water colors or whatever your preferred method is. This time I used prismas & baby oil. I colored the image, then cut out the rose & the leaves, then popped them up with pop dots. The stamp set is called Flowers for You by Mark's Finest Papers. I used 2 different ribbons on this card. You can't tell it, but the lighter one is pink with a small metallic thread running through it. It is very pretty. I sponged around the edges of the DSP with the always artichoke ink. I got the charm from Mark's Finest Papers also.

Stamps: Roses for You
Paper: Certainly Celery DSP, Always Artichoke
Ink: Always Artichoke, Pretty In Pink
Misc: ribbon, rose charm, prismas, baby oil, blending stumps

Have a wonderful 4th of July!

Congratulations to Carol for being the winner of my blog candy. I'll get the package right out to you!
My card tonight is an early sneak peak of a new set from Mark's Finest Papers called Regal & Proud. It will be released in August, but it was just perfect for today's WT277 (Ways to Use it challenge) over on SCS. The challenge was to make a 4th of July card without using red or blue! Well, I knew I had to use this regal eagle stamp and this is what I came up with. And the background stamp is called Fun with Backgrounds and will be released in July from Mark's Finest Papers.
Stamps: MFP Regal & Proud, Fun with Backgrounds
Paper: MFP Corn Husk, pumpkin pie, soft suede
Ink: Soft suede
Misc: Cricut, Fabulous Finds cartridge, brads, prismas, baby oil, blending stumps
Again, congratulations Carol.
