Camillia Sympathy

Today's Ways to Use it challenge was to "make it pop", so I stamped the white camillia 3 times, cut them apart and then layered them with pop dots.  I outlined it with black glitter writer from Martha Stewart.  The other camillias were stamped in Versa Mark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I put stickles on the ferns and leaf punch outs.

The camillia is from the stamp set called Apples and Camillia and the sentiment is from A Walk in the Woods, both from Mark's Finest Papers

Stamps:  Apples and Camilla, A Walk in the Woods
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Black
Ink: Palette Noir, Versa Mark
Misc:  Martha Stewart fern & leaf punches, MS black glitter writer, stickles, white EP, pop dots

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!!  And I hope Santa is very good to you and brings lots and lots of paper crafting items!

Happy Stamping!

We had our annual Chirstmas open house last night.  It was a lot of fun.  Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.  I am so lucky to have a friend who comes and spends the weekend with me to help me with everything.  We even made homemade cookies and cheeseballs for the party!  (For those of you who know me understand that is a big deal since I don't cook!)  LOL.  And my housekeeper came and kept everything refreshed and refilled, so that I could enjoy my guests.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and will have a great week!

I have to tell you a quick funny story on myself.  I went to Cosco this morning to get garland for my bannisters.  I bought six of them.  I have a very small 2 seater car, and didn't think about drving my husbands SUV.  Well, I checked out and got to the car and guess what...........only 2 of the boxes would fit in the car!!!!  One in the trunk and one in the front seat.  I stood there for a couple of minutes contemplating my dilema.  Finally it dawned on me to take it out of the boxes!!!!  Yeah, finally got them all in the car, but did I feel dumb!!!!  Oh well, at least I didn't have to call DH to come and rescue me! LOL

Have a great day!

Brick Wall Emboss Resist

This is my first try at emboss resist, and I really like the way the image "magically" appears!!!  I used the new set from Mark's Finest Papers (http://www.marksfinestpapers.com/) call Brick Wall.  I stamped the butterfly and then cut it out and popped it up on a pop dot for some dimension.

Stamps:  Brick Wall
Ink:  Adirondack Mountain Rose & Pebble; Versa Mark
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, cameo coral, Basic Grey Indian Summer paper pad
Misc:  clear embossing powder

Winnie is sick again.  Had to take her to the doctor and they did x-rays.  On my way out to pick her up from the vets now.  Poor little baby girl.  She is back down to 9.8 lbs from 10.3.  That doesn't sound like a lot, but for such a little dog it's a lot!
