Yum, Cupcakes!

This card is for today's Featured Stamper over on SCS.  She had 4 cupcakes across her card, but I could only fit 2 on my card.  I'm playing with a new set of stamps and Cricut cartridge from Close to My Heart.  The Cricut cartridge is called Art Philosophy, and this stamp set is called Celebration.  I cut out the cupcakes at 2 1/2 " (it tell you what size to cut the designs on the stamp set), then stamped them.  I added the Happy Birthday sentiemtn from the same stamp set across the bottom, added ribbon and a birthday cake charm, and was done.  I think I may make a few more of these this afternoon to have on hand for my October birthday cards.  I also popped up the cupcakes on pop dots.

Stamps:  Celebration
Paper:  Speedy Cat Black Linen, Primroe Petals
Ink:  Primrose Petals
Misc:  ribbon, charm, Cricut, Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed my card.

Happy Stamping!

Speedy Fox & Friends Blog Challenge~~Circles

This week we have a very fun challenge for everyone who wants to play along with us at Speedy Fox & Friends blog challenge~~circles!  I thought of several different techniques before I settled on making this card.  My circles are the circle nestie with the circle scallops.  Fun, huh?  The center of my daisies are colored in with a Martha Stewart glitter pen to make them black center.  I don't think daisies have black centers, but I wanted them to stand out.  I apologize that the picture looks a little washed out.  I tried to adjust the color, but it didn't work out too well.

Stamps:  Oopsy Daisy
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Lime Squeeze by MFP, Always Artichoke
Ink:  Palette Charcoal, Always Artichoke
Misc:  Nesties, copics, MS glitter pen, ribbon

Please join us this week and show us how you use circles.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Stamping!

Speedy Fox & Friends Blog Challenge~~Use a Tag

This week for Speedy Fox & Friends blog challenge you are challenged to use a tag.  I must admit that I don't make a lot of tag or tag cards, and I really had to think about this card for several days before I came up with an idea that I liked.  The "envelope" on the front of the card is actually an 8"x8" doily folded.  The card size is 5 1/2" square.  Maybe I should make a video on how to make the envelope for this card.  Leave me a message if you'd like to see a video of how to do this card technique.

Stamps:  Welcome Poppies, Oopsy Daisy (sentiment)
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Raspberry Ripple, Blushing Bride
Ink:  Palette Noir Black, Raspberry Ripple
Misc:  copics, ribbon, nesties, butterfly charm, doily

Thanks for stopping by today.  Please play along with us this week for your chance to win a wonderful stamp set by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.

Happy Birthday ~~Speedy Fox & Friends challenge 1 post down

Today's Inspiration Challenge was an Etsy store called Wild Things Dresses.  They had an adorable Gnome House dress that I used for my inspiration.  This is a very CAS (clean & simple) card.  I didn't even stamp the background on my card.  But I like how it turned out.  The lace ribbon across the bottom of the card is paper.  I had it in my stash and drug it out.  Also used a flower and a flower pot brad that I found in my stash.  I don't think I've ever used any of these items before, and I've had them forever!!!!  LOL  (Ya'll know you have things stashed away too!)  :-)

The stamp sets I used are from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.

Stamps:  Garden Art, Celebrate Big (sentiment)
Paper:  Lily Pad Green, Snow Storm Smooth, Cherry Slush by MFP
Ink:  Palette Noir Black
Misc:  Copics, flower brad, flower pot brad, paper lace ribbon, ribbon, smooch

I hope your having a wonderful and restful weekend.

Happy Stamping!

Speedy Fox & Friends Blog Challenge~~Your Favorite Technique

This week for the Speedy Fox & Friends blog challenge we used our favorite technique.  One of my very favorite techniques is to use punches.  These punches are a new PATP set from Martha Stewart.  They are called deep edge punches.  I colored the little gnome with copics and his beard with smooch.  His little beard shimmers in the light.

Stamps:  Garden Art
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Midnight Muse
Ink:  Palette Noir Black, Midnight Muse
Misc:  MS deep edge PATP, copics, rain drop brads, smooch

I hope you'll join us this week and show us your favorite technique.  You may even be our lucky winner of a wonderful stamp set!

Blue Lighthouse

I just loved this card so much, I had to make 3 more for my masculine birthday cards.  This is a CASE from Carolina's gallery over on SCS.  She is this week's Featured Stamper.  I changed some of the elements, but kept the over look of her card. I even got to use my Cricut for the label.

I am having a wonderful time in my craft room this long weekend.  I have been making cards, printing pictures from our cruise to Hawaii, cutting Cricut images for the Hawaii layout etc etc etc.  Fun!!!!!  And Nyko even came up to my craft room, jumped on my lap and gave me a love dance!!!  He has never done that before.  Such a sweet kitty today!

Here's the details on my card:
Stamps:  Lighthouses by MFP
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple
Ink:  Midnight Musse
Misc:  star brads, embossing folder, twine, Cricut Expression

Thanks for stopping by this afternoon.  I hope you'll come back very soon.
