Yes, It Snowed in Northern Virginia Yesterday!!!

Yes indeed, it snowed here in Northern Virginia (right outside of Washington DC)!!!  So I had to make this card to "celebrate" snow in October! LOL   I used the snowman image from the stamp set "Snowball?" by Mark's Finest Papers  I made it a center step card, my favorite card style.  It was a lot of fun to make yesterday!

Stamps:  Snowball?
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Aged Berry, China Blue Eyes by MFP, October Afternoon "Good Cheer" paper pad
Ink:  Palette Noir, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tumbled Glass
Misc:  Copics, brads

The snow didn't stay around because the ground was too warm, but if it had, we would probably have had 2-3 inches of it!  It was beautiful coming down.  Great big flakes most of the time.

I hope everyone has a restful Sunday!

Happy Stamping!

Stamped Candles

These candles were so much fun to do!!!!  Today was stamped candle day for our 12 Days of Christmas mini blog hop at Mark's Finest Papers.  Click HERE for the start of the hop today.  I used the stamp set "Boo to You" by Mark's Finest Papers and colored them with copics.  The small candle with Speedy riding on the broom is from "Broom Rides" from last Halloweeen.  The edges are punched with Martha Stewart edge punches.  I made the moon by punching out a circle with a circle punch and using it as a mask and used a dauber to use various colors of yellows from Tim Holtz Distress Inks to color in the circle.  These are sitting on my bar at home for my Halloween decoration.

I hope you will join us tomorrow for the 9th day of the mini 12 Days of Christmas blog hop.

Have a wonderful evening!

Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge Week #78~~Altered Photo Album

Since we've been having the 12 Days of Christmas mini blog hop this week, Faith challenged us to make one of the projects that have already been shown during the blog hop.  I decided to make an altered frame with a sticky note pad attached and an altered Pentel pen.  This frame is 5x7.  I ususally use 4x6, but couldn't find the smaller size.  However, had I had a larger post it note it would have fit nicely.  I used the new stamp set "Snowball?" from Mark's Finest Papers

I hope you have been joining us for the 12 Days of Christmas.  We have really been having fun with it!  I can't wait to see your altered/3-d projects over on Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge blog

Stamps:  Snowball?
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Cherry Slush, Corn Husk by MFP, October Afternoon "Good Cheer" paper pad

A Christmas Card and a Birthday Card

My first card tonight is from the sketch challenge over on SCS.  I usually make my owl white, like a snowy owl, but since I stamped it on Corn Husk CS by MFP I decdided he would look better as a brown owl.  I really like this image from the stamp set "Holly Greetings" by Mark's Finest Papers  You will see it again later in the week.  I used a small holly sticker that I've had in my stash for a while.  I thought it finished off the card nicely.  I ususally don't use stickers on my cards, just my scrapbook layouts, but this just seemed to work.

Stamps:  Holly Greetings
Paper:  Corn Husk, Cherry Sluch, garden green, DCWV glitter pad, Authentique "Wonder" paper pad
Ink:  soft suede, garden green
Misc:  copics, sticker

This card is for Monday's CAS challenge.  I am just now getting it finished and loaded.

Stamps:  Birthday Mini by MFP
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Bubblegum, Lily Pad by MFP, lavendar lace
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black, VersaMark
Misc:  copics, MS glitter, Cricut expression, Storybook cartridge

I hope you have a wonderful evening.  Don't forget about the 12 Days of Christmas mini blog hop that continues tomorrow at Mark's Finest Papers blogspot.

This is my Bind it All project closed.  I covered chip board with designer paper from my stash and used "Little Birds with Big Mouths" as my focal image.

This is the inside of my project.  I bought a calendar and notepad from the dollar bin at M's and put it on the inside.  Since I used chip board, I can keep this in my purse and it won't get all dog eared.

My second Bind it All project is a Christmas theme

This is a small note pad that I stamped with Versa Mark ink using the Stamp set "Cardinals in Winter" and heat embossed in Silver. I used 4x4 inch coasters and covered them inside and out in Dark Night Navy by Mark's Finest Papers.  I stamped each of the inside pages with the small cardinal in night of navy ink.

In My Mother's Garden Watering Can

Today's sketch challenge over on SCS was pretty simple, but I'm not real happy with my card.  I think it would look better with light/pale pink CS for the background rather than the white I used.  I may remake it later tonight if I don't get too tired.  I've got a lot of work to do on the computer to get ready for next week's blog hop for Mark's Finest Papers  But I haven't used this stamp set in quite a while and I do love the way the watering can turned out!

Stamps:  In My Mother's Garden by MFP
Ink:  Palette Charcoal, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Victorian Velvet
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Basic Grey  "Indian Summer" paper pad, regal rose
