Pretty Pink Roses

The always artichoke shows up in the photo as black.  Black would have been pretty to use also.  I made this card for today's featured stamper on SCS.  I stamped the white roses with white craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder on vellum, then trimmed around the roses.  Next, I stamped the pink rose in mauve craft ink, embossed with clear embossing powder,  and colored it in with pink prismas and baby oil.  I cute out the rose and popped it up on pop dots.  I added MS branch punches for the leaves and Sizzix architectural die for the corner.  The stamp set is Springtime Roses by Mark's Finest Papers

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Broom Rides Coaster Note Pad

Isn't this the cutest little note pad?  I made it from 2 4"x4" coasters.  I cut some copy paper 3"x3" for the inside and used my Bind It All that I got from Mark's Finest Papers.  I embossed the tree using Versa Mark ink and black embossing powder.  I cut out the ghostie and popped him up on pop dots.  I made the moon by masking with a punched out circle, then going back & coloring it in with yellow ink.

Stamps:  Broom Rides by Mark's Finest Papers
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth (ghost), DSP unknown
Ink:  Staz-On Black, Versa Mark, green, yellow, purple
Misc:  Bind-It-All, button, black EP, pop dots

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!  I'll try to post again tomorrow.

Fall Leaf Fun

I made this card for today's sketch challenge over on SCS.  I really like the layout.  The card came together pretty easy for me.  I sponged the oval with daffodil delight and pumpkin pie before I took it out of the nestie, then stamped the image on top.  The stamp is from the Autumn Fun set by Mark's Finest Papers.  This also fits the Speedy the Cat Friends challenge #20 over on Mark's Finest Papers Blog.  If you play along you could win a stamp set, so make sure you go over and check it out.  You dont have to use Mark's Finest Paper stamp sets, and for every 50 players, there is a random drawing for an upcoming stamp set!  Fun Fun!!!!

Stamps:  Autumn Fun
Paper:  Corn Husk by MFP, always artichoke, DCWV Autumn Splendor Stack DSP, Pumpkin Pie
Ink:  early espresso, riding hood red, daffodil delight, always artichoke, pumpkin pie
Misc:  nesties

Camellia in Peach~~2nd Post Today!

This is my card for the CC288 challenge to use marina mist, blushing bride and always artichoke. I used blushing bride for my card base, then layered marina mist over top of that. I used versa mark ink on the marina mist and the anise stamp from the Daffodils and Anise stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers. You can't really see that I stamped the anise in the photo, but you can IRL. I stamped the camellia from Apples and Camellia by Mark's Finest Papers 3 times and cut them apart and layered them. I added stickles and sponged Adirondack Ink "Mountain Rose" to add some dimension to the camellia. I also stickled in gold the fern from the MS fern punch. I added the get well sentiment and punched it out with the oval and scalloped oval punches. Finally I added some soft white ribbon from Mark's Finest Papers and doddled in black around the always artichoke layer.  This was such a fun card to make!  Just really fun colors to work with.

Stamps:  Apples and Camellia, Daffodils and Anise
Paper:  marina mist, blushing bride, always artichoke
Ink:  Versa Mark, Always Artichoke, Adirondack Mountain Rose (available from Mark's Finest Papers)
Misc:  ribbon, stickles, MS fern punch, oval & scallop oval punches

This is my 2nd post today so please scroll down to see the first post!

CAS Sympathy in Blue

Here is another CAS sympathy card I made to have on hand.  I hope I don't need it any time soon!  I used 2 different stamp sets from Mark's Finest Papers called Flourishes & Frame and Butterflies, Dianthus & Flourish for the sympathy sentiment.  The paper is also from Mark's Finest Papers  called China Blue Eyes.  It is the softest blue linen finish paper and it is beautiful!!!!  I can't wait to get the matching ribbon that goes with it!

Stamps:  Flourishes and Frame, Butterflies, Dianthus & Flourish
Ink:  dark grey
Paper:  China Blue Eyes, black, grey
Misc:  Ribbon

I hope you are having a wonderful week!!

Birthday Mum Cards

These cards were so quick and easy to do. And to me they look like they are water colored, but in fact I used chalks on both of them. I just love this newly released set from Mark's Finest Papers called Thankful Mums. This is a wonderful set, so make sure you check it out and the other 3 releases from last week. The top card has vanilla smooch spritz on it and it's very very sparklie IRL, but you really can't see it in the photo. I got my smooch spritz from Mark's also.
I just got back from a quick cruise to the Bahamas for a stamping cruise. I had a fantastic time and learned so many new things!!!! Hopefully I'll get some of the projects photographed and pics put on my blog later this week!
Here's the deets on the cards:
Stamps: Thankful Mums and Pumpkin by Mark's Finest Papers
Paper: Corn Husk by MFP, DCWV Autumn Splendor Stack Pack, Red, gold
Ink: Red
Misc: paper flowers, brad, charm, ribbon, pastels
More on my stamping cruise later in the week.

Seahorse in blue & grey

I think this is such happy little masculine birthday card. It's simple yet nice (IMHO). The seahorse charm was originally brass colored but I embossed it with silver embossing powder and turned it silver. All you do is push the charm into the Versa Mark embossing pad and then dip it in the embossing powder color of your choice, heat and Voila'--a charm in any color you want! Pretty cool huh?
Stamps: Flourished Seacreatures by Mark's Finest Papers
Paper: China Blue Eyes & Snow Storm Smooth by Mark's Finest Papers , dark grey, Debbie Mumm DSP
Ink: grey, bliss blue, Versa Mark for the charm
Misc: ribbon, charm, prismas and baby oil
I hope everyone is going to have a wonderful Labor Day weekend! And I hope you get lots of stamping and scrapbooking done too!!!! That's what I plan on doing all three days!
Happy Stamping!
