Smooch Colored Black Eyed Susans

I just love coloring with smooch becasue it has such a nice shimmer IRL.  I used gold and green to color these black eyed Susans.  All supplies are from Mark's Finest Papers

I had a lot of fun making this card.  I don't think there are really blue Gerber Daisies, but I took artistic liberty with it! LOL

CASEing Lois aka Clownmom

I love the "Big Cats" set by Mark's Finest Papers but could not color the tiger to make him look real.  I received one of Lois Bak's tiger cards in a Speedy the Cat card swap and literally copied the card.  Now I love coloring the tiger!  I think he looks very realistic now.  What do you think?

We went to the Animal Welfare League yesterday and found a new kitty for our home.  He's a 6 year old seal point Balinese, and is beautiful.  We go tomorrow night for our "interview/consultation" and will bring him home.  I can't wait.   His name is Nyko.

Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge Week #9~~Emboss It!

This week for Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge Linda challenged us to emboss our cards, using either dry embossing or heat embossing.  I used a Sizzix dry embossing plate for my card.  The sentiment is from the new stamp set "Black Eyed Susans for Encouragement" by Mark's Finest Papers

I stamped a single Black Eyed Susan on the inside of the card, but I forgot to take a picture of it.  But the inside is very pretty!

Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge Week 68~~Distressed

This week Carol challenged us at Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge to distress our card in some way, so I distressed the corn husk and black CS with a distressing tool.  It's kind of hard to see in the photo, but IRL it is distressed.  I used some MS glitter to make the mane on the giraffe and I like the sparkle.

Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge Week 67~~Anything but a standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card

This week's Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge was to make a card any shape other than the standard

4 1/4 x 5 1/2" card.  I chose to make a center step card.  If you don't know how to make a center step card I have a tutorial here on my blog, or you can go over to Speedy TV to see the tutorial also.   I just love the African Veldt set from Mark's Finest Papers and have been using it a lot for masculine birthday cards, and I thought this was the perfect image for my center step card.

Little Birds with Big Mouths to honor Carol--Queen for the Day at SCS
