Speedy's Challenge #9
This week's challenge was to use 3 flowers on your card. I immediately knew that I wanted to use the hollyhock flower from Pears and Hollyhocks. If you want to play along click HEREto go to Speedy's challenge page.
I colored the hummingbird then cut him out and popped him up on pop dots to give a little dimension. I glittered the ruby throat of the hummingbird, but it doesn't show up in the photo. Flower soft was used for the center of the flowers.
Stamps: MFS Pears & Hollyhocks
Ink: Basic Grey, Rose Red
Paper: Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, Petals & Paisley DSP (retired), MFP Snow Storm smooth
Misc: Cricut, 1 3/4" circle punch, flower soft, glitter, pop dots, prismas, baby oil, blending stumps

Pears and a new Background stamp
I made this card to enter this week's Featured Stamper Challenge over on SCS. Debbie has a beautiful gallery over there, and I had so much fun looking at all her wonderful cards. She used a really nice pear designer paper, but I didn't have anything like it, so I used a new stamp from the upcoming set called Background Fun from Mark's Finest PapersThe stamp wasn't large enough to cover the entire front of the card, but since the stamps are clear, I could just keep lining it up and stamping over & over to make the background. Easy peasy! And fun too!
Here's the deets on the card:
Stamps: Background Fun and Pears and Hollyhock from MFP
Ink: Wild Wasabi
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Riding Hood Red, Snow Storm from MFP
Misc: Prismas, baby oil, ribbon, charm from MFP
Boy the weekend really went by very quickly. Hopefully the week will go as fast since next weekend is a 3 day weekend! Yippie!!!!!

Ink: Wild Wasabi
Paper: Brenda Walton DSP, Certainly Celery
