American Hero MMSC15 **2nd post today**

THIS IS MY 2ND POST TODAY SO PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE THE FIRST POST.

This is my entry for the MMSC 15 challenge. I had a hard time visualizing what I wanted to do, and then it hit me, a tribute to our American Military, and this is what I came up with. Check out the challenge over on Priscilla's blog here http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/2009/08/midnight-madness-by-priscilla-mmsc15.html

Stamps: Godspeed
Paper: Various unknown DSP, Real Red, Not Quite Navy, beige, Brocade Blue
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Brocade Blue
Misc: star nail heads, ribbon, pop dots

The 4 corners are suppose to be "service stars" which is a red rectangle with a blue star in the middle representing that a loved one is deployed to a combat zone. However, I took artistic license and used gold nail heads, and stamped the rectangle in not quite navy. I distressed the main image and sponged brocade blue ink around the outside before mounting it on brocade blue and then night of navy.

Let me know what you think.

Happy Stamping!
Patty & Winnie

This is an awesome Hero Soldiers Card, Patty & Winnie. It just brings so much emotion when you look at it. I think the stars in the corner adds so much. This would be a great Hero's Card. I have them on my page on the right hand corner. It would definitely make some hero's day. Thanks for playing this week and please stop by my page as you are eligible to win the MMSC Candy Prize because you've placed this sketch, xox ~Jeni & MMSC DT
