Speedy Fox & Friends~~Faux Leather

This week's Speedy Fox & Friends blog challenge is to use "faux leather" on our cards.  I had never done this technique before.  The faux leather piece is behind my buffalo image & the birthday sentiment.  I used a Sizzix texture plate on a piece of Aged Cranberry CS by MFP.  I sponged on some brown ink, then covered the piece with VersaMark ink and clear embossing powder to make it shiney.  You can't see the shine in the photo.  The stamp set is "Buffalo Spring" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.

Stamps:  Buffalo Spring
Paper:  Corn Husk, Aged Cranberry by MFP, soft suede
Ink:  Soft Suede, Versa Mark
Misc:  clear embossing powder, Sizzix embossing plate, pop dots

I hope you'll play along with us this week!

Happy Stamping!
Patty & Winnie

Wasn't it fun to try a new technique?! I really had fun with it. Your card looks great! When I clicked on the photo and made it larger I can see more details on the pretty leather piece!

No bull, your card is really cute. Nice faux leather. I like how you stamped the background paper. This was a popular set this week and we all used it differently. I thought that was pretty neat.
