Masculine Get Well Card

Yesterday I was mainly in my sewing room, but took time to play along with the Inspiration Challenge over on SCS.  I haven't used this set in quite a while, and had forgotten how much I like it!

Paper:  Sahara Sand
Ink:  Always Artichoke, True Thyme, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Smokey Slate, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede
Misc:  Stampin' Dimensionals, Burlap Ribbon Candy Dots

I cut a 2nd piece of Sahara Sand 5 1/4" x 4" to stamp on.  I then popped it up on the Sahara Sand card base with Stampin' Dimensionals,

New Get Well Cards

I was out of get well cards for work, so I made 2 of these this afternoon during the snow storm that we're having here in Northern Virginia.  I used my new stamp set "So Very Grateful" by Stampin' Up!  I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir Pens, and used the stamp set "Warmest Regards" for the sentiment.  I used my butterfly embosslits folder to cute out the little butterfly that I popped up
above the flowers.  Hopefully I won't have to use these anytime soon, but it's always good to have them on hand just in case!

Masculine Get Well Card

One of my clients is having ankle surgery tomorrow, so I made him this get well card.  It looks dark purple or black in the photo, but it really is Night of Navy.  I had trouble with all of my photos today.  It was sunny outside, so I don't know why the colors didn't want to come out right.

Rain Rain go Away Get Well Card

This is another card that I made yesterday (Sunday) for the Featured Stamper challenge over on SCS.  I really like the way it turned out.  Maybe I'll make a couple more today so have in my stash.  I used the stamp set "Rain Clouds" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Co.  I'm debating whether to take off the bow though.  Not sure it adds anything to the card.

Get Well Card for DH Co-Worker

One of the ladies that works for my DH was bitten by her cat.  She went to the emergency room and they bandaged it up.  The next morning it was infected and she is now hospitalized!!!  I'm not kidding!  She has been in the hospital for 2 days now.  I made this card hoping that it would cheer her up.  I used 2 different stamp sets by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  The image is from the stamp set "Bring on the Sun" and the sentiment is from "Rain Clouds".

Isn't this just the cutest set?  I think it would be perfect for a little boy's birthday party invitations or something.  I made mine a get well card though, because I thought the sentiment was just too funny!

It's Spring!

Frog with Umbrella

This center step card will be a get well card for one of my clients.  I colored him with Copics, and cut out the cloud and popped it up with pop dots.  I added some rain drop brads under the cloud.  I think he turned out pretty cute.  This is one of the newly released stamp sets by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co called "Rain Clouds".

Pansy Postage

Today's CAS challenge on SCS was to use "postage" on your card in some way.  I chose to use this wonderful pansy postage stamp by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  The stamp set is called "Sending Happy Thoughts".  I also used my MS PATP pansy punches to punch the Breezy Blue card stock.  I think this would make a sweet get well card for someone who is under the weather.  We'll see.....

Speedy Fox & Friends Blog Challenge~~Red & White

This week for the Speedy Fox & Friends blog challenge we made red & white cards.  I love red & white together.  I decided to use one of our newer stamp sets called Lesson Learned and make it a get well card.  I stamped the apple from the set and colored it with copics.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set Flap My Wattles, added some gingham ribbon and a charm, and voila', done.
