Falling Leaves

Today's CAS (clean and simple) challenge today on SCS was to use a leaf on your card.  I used 2 different stamp sets from Mark's Finest Papers "Autum Glory" & "Autumn Fun".  There are a couple of things that I wish I had done differently on this card.  One, I wish I had used Corn Husk (cream) paper and two, I wish I had used a brown pen for the squiggle border rather than the black pen I used.

I stamped the large maple leaf in the top corner with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with Mark's Finest Papers Embossing Powder called Tomato.  I think sponged it with 3 different colors of Tim Holtz Distress Inks, cut it out and popped it up on pop dots.

Stamps:  Autum Glory & Autum Fun (the small oak leaf on the border)
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth by MFP
Ink:  Tim Holtz Distress Inks Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw, Barn Door
Misc:  Mark's Finest Paper Embossing Powder Tomato, pop dots

Have a great week!!!!

Happy Stamping!

This is very elegant Patty. The leaves are so pretty and I love the border. Well done!

Terrific squiggle border! I like it as is, even if you think the ink should've been a different color. The little leaves scattered around it are so sweet.
