Pink Snow People

My cards today have 2 purposes; one for the Featured Stamper challenge over on SCS, the other for the Christmas card challenge on Speedy TV.  The stamp set is from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. called "Holly Jolly Greetings".  It's one of my favorite Christmas sets!

We didn't get any snow yesterday, which is what I thought would happen.  Just a little flurry.  It's suppose to rain here today, but thank goodness I got Winnie walked before it started.

Speedy Fox & Friends Blog Challenge~~Make a Christmasy Birthday Card

This week Pat challenged use to make a "Christmasy" birthday card.  I used the stamp set "Holly Jolly Greetings" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co and stamped the holly 3 times and fussy cut them out after coloring them with my Spectrum Noir pens.  I used a MS border punch to make the decorative strips down the side of the card.

Speedy Fox & Friends Blog Challenge~~Use 3 different Christmas designer papers

 

At first, I thought this was a hard challenge, until I decided to make a center step card.  Then it was quite easy to use 3 different Christmas designer papers.  The Santa image is from the stamp set "Holly Jolly Greetings" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  I hope you'll join us for our blog challenge this week. I stickled the "fur" on Santa's hat & suit, and used Smooch on his beard to give it some sparkle.  I used gold Smooch on his belt buckle.

Speedy Fox & Friends Blog Challenge~~Blue Christmas

As soon as I saw today's challenge, I immediately thought of a snowman because blue to me means cold!  LOL  So I used the snowman from "Holly Jolly Greetings" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  I found 3 little snowman buttons to put down in the corner of my card.

November Christmas Card Challenge cards

I can't believe we started this challenge in January and it's already November!!!!  Where has the year gone?  Thursday will be Thanksgiving. 

I made these cards using my Anna Griffin "Winter Wonderland" Cricut cartridge and the stamp set "Holly Jolly" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  The "Holly Jolly" stamp sets is one of my very favorite sets, and I've used it a lot in the past few weeks. 

I kept these cards very CAS because I had to make 45 of them.  I'm using them as the invitations for our Holiday Open House that we host every year.  I also wanted to kept the postage down, so there is no extra bows or anything that cost more to mail.

Speedy TV Christmas Card Challenge~~July cards

Aren't these cards just adorable?  My friend Shirley Quarry taught me how to make these.  They are so easy and fun!!!!  I used the stamp set "Holly Jolly" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. I did a quick video tutorial on how to make them. 

These cards are so quick & easy I'm thinking about using them for our Christmas open house invitations.

Shine Your Light

These are my cards for February for the Christmas Card Challenge over of Speedy TV.  I signed up to do 2 cards per month.  That will give a good head start on my Christmas cards for this year!  I really like the way these turned out.  I love center step cards, and I think this image is just perfect for them!

Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge

Today's Speedy Fox and Friends challenge is to use an image from one of the Christmas cards you received.  I loved this card (the one on the right in the photo above) sent from my good friend Kathy Bradley.  However, I couldn't bear to take it apart, so I cheated and copied the Santa from the front of the card and made my card for the challenge.  My card is a center step card.  The stamp set is called "Holly Jolly Greetings" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  I hope I'm not in too much trouble for not following the directions for the challenge! LOL

Another Christmas Cards

I made this card yesterday for the Inspiration Challenge.  It's a gatefold card.  I used the stamp set called "Christmas Cardinals" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co and colored the image with my new Spectrum Noir pens.  I think I'm going to make more of these to use as my Christmas Open House invitations.

Speedy Fox & Friends challenge~~Add a Fence

Today's Speedy Fox and Friends challenge is to add a fence to your card.  I didn't have a fence punch (other than Halloween) so I turned to my Cricut to see what I had there.  I didn't have a "traditional" fence, but I found this cut on the Paper Trimmings Cartridge and thought it looked like a fancy fence, so I went with it. 

I'm still working on my shading, so I really concentrated on my coloring again this week.  You can't really tell that Santa's suit is shaded in the photo, but you can a little bit IRL.  I probably should have used a little darker red for my shadow.  Oh well, next time.........

Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co Featured Set & Mini

Today at Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. we are featuring thebrand new stamp set "Enjoy the View" and the new mini stamp set "Halloween Mini".  These sets will be released tomorrow along with 4 other sets.  Our blog hop starts tomrrow, so please make sure you stop back by to see the new sets and get a chance to win!!!!

My top card was created with the new stamp set "Enjoy the View".  It was a lot of fun to create!  I used a few different stamp sets to create the scene.

My 2nd card features the new mini stamp set "Halloween Selections".  It was a very quick card to make. I cut the purple mat at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and the Studio G designer paper at 4" x 5 1/4".  I cut my squares at 1", 1 1/4", 1 1/2" and 1 3/4" and layered them.   A quick "Boo!" sentiment and done!

A Friendly Snowman and Falling Leaves

Yesterday's Inspiration Challenge site over on SCS was Pier One Imports.  There was so much inspiration to be found there!!!!  My first card is my cute little snow fellow from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  I really love this stamp set.  I'm going to use it for some of my open house invitations.  Here's the details:

For my 2nd card, I used my Art Philosophy cartridge and the leaf stamp from the stamp set "Celebrations" from Close to My Heart.  I love how this card turned out.  I made more of them to use for my masculine birthday cards next month.  I used VersaMark ink to stamp my background, then cut out the leaves and stamped them.
