Petal Palette Happy Wishes Birthday Card

I had a wonderful time in my stamping room today!  I made 3 videos, participated in the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com and got ready to have my stamping neighbors over for a stamping afternoon next Sunday. Phew!  I was busy but really feel accomplished!

I tried to show the outside (left side) and middle section (right side) of this fancy fold card.  The picture does not show the fancy fold.  It's actually 3 sections.  Please see video below for complete directions.

Sorry I haven't posted in so long! Hope you have a fabuous New Year!

These are 2 of the 8 cards I made this afternoon.  I love this layout and the colors!  My inspiration was the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast Stampers (SCS).

Paper:  Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette

The 2nd set of four cards were stamped with Sweet Sugarplum ink which showed up much better.  I had forgotten how light pink pirouette ink is.  I hope SU retires Pink Pirouette and keeps Sweet Sugarplum!

Double Z Fold Card, Video Tutorial and Blog Candy!

I just fell in love with the double z fold card when I saw it.  I have been making them for the past 2 weekends now!  LOL   I apologize in advance for using some retired SU! products, but I couldn't find my Flower Shop stamp set & Pansy punch.  I guess I didn't order it after all.  Here's the supply list:

Birthday Cupcake

Here's a CAS (clean & simple) card I made for the CAS challenge on SCS for Monday. 

Stamps:  Sprinkles of Life, Rose Wonder (sentiment)
Ink:  Blushing Bride, Soft Suede
Paper:  Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Love Blossoms DSP stack
Misc:  Tree Builder Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

I stamped the cupcake base directly on the Whisper White card stock in Soft Suede ink.  I then stamped the "icing" on a separate piece of Whisper White and punched it out with the tree builder punch.  I popped the "icing" up on dimensionals.

Happy Flowers

I made this card today for the Featured Stamper challenge over on SCS.  I hadn't used the Banner Blast set since I got it, but it was perfect for this challenge.  The center of the flowers are colored in with a Sakura sparkle pen, but you can't really tell it in the photo.

3 Flowers

I was playing around with my new stamp set "Petite Petals" by SU with the matching punch.  I used a butterfly embossing folder on the left hand side and bottom, and stamped 3 flowers on the top right hand side.  I popped up one of the flowers with a pop dot and added small pearls in the center of each flower.  I added the happed birthday sentiment as a last thought.  I may make some more of these today in different color combinations. 

I'm going to a SU get together in March and I've been working on my swap cards.  I really like how they're turning out.  I made 25 yesterday.  I want to make some more today.  And I want to make a video tutorial.  I think I'm going to be busy on my day off from work!  LOL

Soft Yellow Birthday

This card is really light in color, but I think I like it.  It was my second card that I made yesterday for the Inspiration Challenge on SCS.  I used So Saffron CS & ink.

Violet Poppy

Easy Feminine Birthday Card

I made this CAS birthday card to use with for my female clients.  I love how it turned out!  It was so quick and easy to make.  I used the stamp set "Presents" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co and colored the present with my Spectrum Noir Pens.  I punched the present out using a 1 3/4" circle punch, and punched the Concord Crush CS with a 2 3/8" scallop punch.  I popped it up on a pop dot.  I stamped the "happy birthday" in Concord Crush ink, then ran the Snow Storm Smooth CS through the big shot using the happy birthday embossing folder. 

Stamps:  Presents
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush
Ink:  Momento Tuxedo Black, Concord Crush
Misc:  Spectrum Noir Pens, 1 3/4" circle punch, 2 3/8" scallop punch, embossing folder

A Whimsical Bird Birthday

 

I need a lot of birthday cards for February for my clients, so I needed a CAS card that was easy to make.  This is what I came up with.  I made 13 of them.  I used the stamp set "Simply Sketched" by Stampin' Up.  It was very easy to color, and I made the little bird a blue bird.  I thought the MS branch punch down the side was a nice addition.  I hope my clients like the card.

Butterfly Hearts

 I made this card for last Sunday's Featured Stamper, Joy Taylor, aka joy131275 over on SCS.  Her card didn't have a heart & only had one butterfly.  I really wanted to use a doily, and I found this heart doily from Stampin' Up in my stash.  I used the stamp set "Papillon Potpourri" by Stampin' Up.  I also used my  punches to punch out the butterflies.   I put rhinestones down the center of the body of the larger butterfly.  I also dotted the "I" in Birthday with a rhinestone.  The sentiment is from the stamp set Simply Sketched and the dot background is from Warmth & Wonderful.
