Speedy the Cat's Friends Week 63~~use a diecut as a mat

This is one of the new stamp sets that will be released on Tuesday 13 July by Mark's Finest Papers  I just love this cute set.  It's called Little Birds with Big Mouths.  It has such cute images!!!  The sentiment is from the Birthday mini set.

Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge this week was to use a die cut in the background on your card.  I chose to use my Cricut and the cartridge Elegant Edges for my die cut mat.  I like the way it turned out.  I cut it at 5 1/4" and it worked out perfectly.

Stamps:  Little Birds with Big Mouths, Birthday Mini (sentiment)
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, wild wasabi, daffodil delight, pink passion
Ink:  soft suede, wild wasabi
Misc:  Cricut Expression, Elegant Edges cartridge, copics

I hope you will all join us starting Tuesday 12 July for Mark's Finest Papers blog hop.  We have 4 great sets that are being released on Tuesday.  Please stop by on Tuesday to join the hop.  You will have a chance to win a stamp set!!!!

Have a great weekend!

Happy Stamping!

Patty, That frame works wonderful with this image giving the feel of open spaces. We kind of used the same colors, even. :) I do like this set.

Fabulous loopy background, Patty! It looks great with the birdhouse image, and the flowers in yellow matching the mat.

Just adorable! I love anything to do with birds so you can believe I love this card. I also think the name of your set is so cute and gave me a big smile. Pretty die cut mat with the Elegant Edges.
