...and all those things your mother used to say

I think this would make such a cute get well card. I just love the saying! This stamp set is going to be released 13 July by Mark's Finest Papers called Apples and Camellia. The black & red paper is from the Premium Craft Paper Pack called "Chicken Coop". I just LOVE this paper pack! It has so many goodies in it! And I got to use my cricut again with this card!!!! I cut the apple out in roly poly @ 4" and then again in green to add the stem. Lastly, I cut the apple out again @ 4 1/4" in black for the shadow. Too much fun!

Pretty Pear Birthday

This is another card I made using the Pears & Hollyhock from Mark's Finest Papers. I am not good at coloring with markers, but I tried it again anyway. The crocheted flower was one that my good friend Carol (gingerbeary8) sent me. Doesn't it match well? Carol & I are rooming together on the stamping cruise that we're going on in early September. (More info on the right hand side of my blog)

Stamps: Pears & Hollyhock
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette & Snow Storm Smooth by MFP
Ink: Riding Hood Red

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Purple Hollyhocks with a Hummer

I made this card for Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge #10 over at Mark's Finest Papers. For every 40 entries, Faith gives away a stamp set. This weeks challenge is to use a die cut on your card. This is what I came up with. It's a very simple card, but it just seemed to fit the challenge.

Stamps: Pears & Hollyhocks
Ink: Basic Grey & Pebble by Ranger (available at MFP)
Paper: Lime Squeeze, Snow Storm Smooth (available at MFP), close to cocoa & Recollections DSP (retired)
Misc: Prismas, baby oil, blending stumps, twill tape, paper flowers, nesties & pop dots

Have a great day!

A Pink Rose for You

I just love roses, and this is quickly becoming my favorite rose stamp. It is so easy to color with chalks, prismas and baby oil, water colors or whatever your preferred method is. This time I used prismas & baby oil. I colored the image, then cut out the rose & the leaves, then popped them up with pop dots. The stamp set is called Flowers for You by Mark's Finest Papers. I used 2 different ribbons on this card. You can't tell it, but the lighter one is pink with a small metallic thread running through it. It is very pretty. I sponged around the edges of the DSP with the always artichoke ink. I got the charm from Mark's Finest Papers also.

Stamps: Roses for You
Paper: Certainly Celery DSP, Always Artichoke
Ink: Always Artichoke, Pretty In Pink
Misc: ribbon, rose charm, prismas, baby oil, blending stumps

Have a wonderful 4th of July!

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!

Congratulations to Carol for being the winner of my blog candy. I'll get the package right out to you!
My card tonight is an early sneak peak of a new set from Mark's Finest Papers called Regal & Proud. It will be released in August, but it was just perfect for today's WT277 (Ways to Use it challenge) over on SCS. The challenge was to make a 4th of July card without using red or blue! Well, I knew I had to use this regal eagle stamp and this is what I came up with. And the background stamp is called Fun with Backgrounds and will be released in July from Mark's Finest Papers.
Stamps: MFP Regal & Proud, Fun with Backgrounds
Paper: MFP Corn Husk, pumpkin pie, soft suede
Ink: Soft suede
Misc: Cricut, Fabulous Finds cartridge, brads, prismas, baby oil, blending stumps
Again, congratulations Carol.
