Butterfly on Mushroom

Sorry I haven't posted in a week but I've been very busy with the Speedy the Cat Birthday Swap, along with helping Faith with the brand new Speedy TV site!!!  http://www.mfpspeedytv.ning.com/  You HAVE to go check it out and become a member.  You can upload your cards, have a live chat, participate in swaps and challenges, view tutorials etc etc etc.  It is so cool!!!!
 
I also have a fun announcement to make.  Faith has asked me to be the team coordinator for the Speedy the Cat blog challenge every Saturday.  Next Saturday will be my official start date!  Every week we have a winner who gets a stamp set that is released the following month.  Check it out HERE

Tea Anyone?

I hadn't used this set in a long time, and today's Inspiration Challenge today over on SCS was a site called Pink Vanilla Boutique.  They had the cutest pink & white felt tea set, so I knew immediately that I had to use this set as my inspiration.  I stamped the cup and tea pot on Snow Storm Smooth cs and cut them out, then attached them to a strip of pretty in pink.  I embossed a piece of Corn Husk (vanilla colored cs) to go along with the name of the company.  I colored the cup and teapot with markers.  I couldn't decide whether to use a cup or tea pot charm, but I finally decided on the tea pot because it looked like it was pouring tea into the cup.  Well.....you kind of have to use your imagination but...........

Orange Iris

As I have said before, I love the new Bearded Iris set from Mark's Finest Papers!  The Free for All challenge on SCS today was to use orange, so I colored my iris orange.  I think bearded iris do come in shaes of oranges in nature, so no artistic liberty with this one! LOL

Pink Iris--My Favorite

This is one of my favorite sets from Mark's Finest Papers called "Bearded Iris".  Pink is my favorite color, so I couldn't think of anything better than a pink iris.  I put yellow flowersoft in the middle to give it a little dimension for the "beard".

A Little Watering Can

This is from the newly released set by Mark's Finest Papers called In My Mother's Garden.  I just love this set!  It has so many pretty images.  I know I will be using it alot!!! 

This is a short week for me work wise.  The market is closed on Friday, so the office will be closed!  YEAH!  I hope to get a lot of stamping done this weekend since I haven't stamped in 2 weeks!  YIKES.  I'm having withdrawals.  Plus I just got my latest goodie box from Mark's Finest Papers and I can't wait to play with my new toys.  I got some new nesties, new Prima flowers, more Tim Holtz Distress Ink colors, bling, bling, bling and I can't remember what else!  I know I'm going to have fun with all my new toys.

Speedy's Challenge-- Emboss Resist

This week's Speedy's challenge was emboss resist.  It's one of my favorite techniques, but I rarely do it!  Go figure..........LOL.  Anywa, I used Mark's Finest Papers "Greet the Day with Gerber" for my focal image.  I stamped the image with VersaMark, then used clear embossing powder.  Once cooled, I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks Spun Sugar & Victorian Velvet to sponge over my image and , viola, it popped right up so you would see the image!  All supplies are from Mark's Finest Papers.

Just Dandy in Pink

This card is for today's challenge over on SCS.  I love pink, and couldn't resist doing the dandylion in pink!!! I sprayed the dandylion with white smooch spritz, but it doesn't show up in the photo.  I put a birthday sentiment on the inside and will use it for a client's birthday card next month.

I haven't used the "Tweet Blessings" set from Mark's Finest Papers in such a long time.  I pulled it out today to use it for the Inspiration Challenge over on SCS.  I got to use my brand new Martha Stewart wide border punch on the card.  I just got it earlier this week.

A Fairy is in my Garden!!!!

Sympathy

I needed 4 sympathy cards between the middle and end of March.  It was not a very happy time in my life.  I am glad that it is now April! 

The colors on this card did not come out well at all.  The colors are metallic gold and black.  But the gold is very washed out on this card.  However, IRL it is very pretty.

I used the lillies from Mark's Finest Papers called He Is Risen.  I thought the lillies were very appropriate for the sad occasion.  All supplies for the card are from Mark's Finest Papers.
