Speedy Fox challenge~~1 layer, 2 colors, 3 embellishments

Today's challenge for Speedy Fox and Friends is a recipe card: 1 Layer, 2 Colors & 3 Embelllishments. I used one layer of card stock, and my 2 colors are yellow and green for my image and my 3 embellishments are the 3 sunflower buttons. This was a really fun card to make, and I may do a few more similiar to this. Only thing is, I used all my sunflower buttons and don't know that I can find any more. I guess I'll have to be on the lookout for more buttons.
Stamps: Bring on the Sun, Buried Treasure (sentiment)
Paper: Snow Storm Smooth
Ink: Palette Charcoal
Misc: Buttons

Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge~~Pop it Up

Today's Speedy Fox & Friends challenge is an easy one....pop it up!!!  I used pop dots to pop up my image and my sentiment.  The only embelllishment is a little bit of twine tied into a bow.  I used several layers of DSP & card stock on my card, as well as my Cricut to cut out the shape for my image.  I sponged around the edge of the image with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye.

Stamps:  Autumn Splendor, Buried Treasure (sentiment)
Ink:  Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye
Paper:  Corn Husk, Always Artichoke, Only Orange, DSP
Misc:  Cricut Elegant Edges Cartridge, punches, jute, pop dots, Copics

I hope you will join us for the easy challenge this week.  I hope to see you back here soon!

Another Christmas Cards

I made this card yesterday for the Inspiration Challenge.  It's a gatefold card.  I used the stamp set called "Christmas Cardinals" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co and colored the image with my new Spectrum Noir pens.  I think I'm going to make more of these to use as my Christmas Open House invitations.

Stamps:  Christmas Cardinals
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Cherry Slush by MFP, Chirstmas DSP
Ink:  VersaFine Onyx Black, Real Red
Misc:  Sprectrum Noir pens

Speedy Fox & Friends challenge~~Add a Fence

Today's Speedy Fox and Friends challenge is to add a fence to your card.  I didn't have a fence punch (other than Halloween) so I turned to my Cricut to see what I had there.  I didn't have a "traditional" fence, but I found this cut on the Paper Trimmings Cartridge and thought it looked like a fancy fence, so I went with it.

I'm still working on my shading, so I really concentrated on my coloring again this week.  You can't really tell that Santa's suit is shaded in the photo, but you can a little bit IRL.  I probably should have used a little darker red for my shadow.  Oh well, next time.........

Stamps:  Holly Jolly Greetings
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Speedy Cat Black Linen by MFP, Christmas DSP
Ink:  Palette Charcoal, Garden Green
Misc:  Cricut Paper Trimmings Cartridge

Thanks for stopping by again today.  I hope you like my little Santa card.  Please play along with us this week at Speedy Fox & Friends challenge.

Speedy Fox & Friends challenge~~Use Rick Rack

Today's Speedy Fox & Friends blog challenge is to use Rick Rack.  For some reason this was a very hard challenge for me.  I concentrated on my coloring.  I am trying to improve my shading skills.  Not being a natural artist, it is very hard for me, and I need a lot more work, but I do think I am seeing some improvement if I may say so myself.  I used the stamp set "Black Eyed Susans for Encouragement" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  I really like that stamp set and haven't used it in a little while.

Stamps:  Black Eyed Susans for Encouragement, Buried Treasure (sentiment)
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, So Saffron
Ink:  Palette Noir Black
Misc:  Rick Rack, Spectrum Noir pens

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you will try to join us for the challenge this week!
