A Card and a Project

I have a card and a 3-D project for you today.  My card is CASEd from Bonnie, aka Bon2stamp over on SCS.  She is today's Featured Stamper.  I really had a lot of fun making this card.  And I love the way it turned out!

Stamps:  Scenic Selections
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Razmataz Pink by MFP
Ink:  Rose Red
Misc:  1 3/8" circle punch, scallop circle punch, rhinestones, embossing folder

My 2nd project is my BFF's birthday present.  I think she's going to like it because she is always saying how she can't keep up with people's birthday's, so I made her this birthday card organizer.

This is the front cover.  I used some retired SU DSP called Bella Rose.  I covered chip board to make the front and back cover, and used my Artiste cartridge to decorate the front of the organizer.

Here's a picture of the inside

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you liked my card and project!  Stay warm!

Happy Stamping!

Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge~~Doodle a Frame

Welcome to this week's Speedy Fox & Friends blog challenge!  This we were are to make a doodle frame around our image.  I used the stamp set "Silly Shells" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  I decided to  go with more of a CAS card since I was going to add my doodles.   I also used the stamp set "Scenic Selections" to add the sea gulls to my image.  You can't tell it, but there are sea shells on the DSP behind the image.  I sponged the DSP with Midnight Muse ink to give it a little more definition.

Stamps:  Silly Shells, Daffodil Delight (sentiment)
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Baroque Burgandy, Midnight Muse
Ink:  Midnight Muse, Palette Noir Black
Misc:  ribbon

I like this card so much, I think I may make more of them to use for my February masculine birthday cards.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Stamping!

First, I must apologize for the quality of the photo.  It was cloudy when I took the picture, and I couldn't get it any brighter.  I had a lot of fun making this card.  I stamped the rose image with VersaMark ink, and used Speedy Cat Gold Detail embossing powder to emboss the image.  I then colored it with my Copics.  I cut out the image with my scalloped nesties, and then used gold metallic paper behind the rose image.  The background paper is sparkly, but you can't tell it in the photo.

Stamps:  Love Love Love
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Pretty in Pink, Gold Metallic, DSP
Ink:  VersaMark
Misc:  MFP Gold embossing powder, nesties, ribbon, charm, pearls

A Rose is a Rose.... Please scroll down one post for Speedy Fox & Friends Blog Challenge Post

Today's Inspiration Challenge site was Layla Grayce.  I chose a candle as my inspiration for this card.  The sentiment says "Be Mine".  I'm going to give it to my DH for Valentine's day.  This is a sneak peak of the brand new set called "Love Love Love" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  I used my scalloped circle nestie to cut out the center of the card so that the rose is on the inside.  I tied some pink lace from my stash on the side and added some pearls as embellishments.  The white CS is cut at 5 1/4" x 8", scored at 4".  It's put on a piece of Pretty in Pink CS cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

Please make sure you stop by starting on Tuesday for our blog hop.  You may even win one of the newly released stamps!

Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge

Today's challenge for Speedy Fox and Friends is to make a movement card.  I made a little wobble for my snowman out of florist wire.  You can't tell he moves (I couldn't get a good photo of it, sorry) but in real life he looks like he's shivering.  (I have attached a video I made showing how to make the "wobble coil" out of florist wire.  Please see video below)  That's why it says Brrr underneath him.  LOL  This cute little snowman is from the stamp set "Holly Jolly Greetings" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  The sentiment is from the stamp set "Snow Gifts".

Stamps:  Holly Jolly Greetings, Snow Gifts (sentiment)
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, imaginisce "Cottage Christmas" paper pad
Ink:  Palette Noir Black, Night of Navy
Misc:  wire for wobble, buttons, Spectrum Noir pens

Please join us this week's for the challenge.

Homemade Wobble Card and Video How-to

The butterfly on this card is put on a wobble coil so that it "flutters" on the card.  Please scroll down to see the video on how to make the homemade wobble coil.

This card was so easy to make!  I used the "Hello Butterfly" stamp set by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  I used my wobble on the butterfly to make him look like he was fluttering by.  Here's the details on the card:

Stamps:  Hello Butterfly
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Lavender Lace, Elegant Eggplant
Ink:  Palette Noir Black, Lavender Lace
Misc:  4" florist wire, 3/4" circle punch to make wobble coil

I hope you enjoyed the video.  And I'll hope you'll try this fun technique.

Pansy Postage

Today's CAS challenge on SCS was to use "postage" on your card in some way.  I chose to use this wonderful pansy postage stamp by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  The stamp set is called "Sending Happy Thoughts".  I also used my MS PATP pansy punches to punch the Breezy Blue card stock.  I think this would make a sweet get well card for someone who is under the weather.  We'll see.....

Stamps:  Sending Happy Thoughts
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Breezy Blue by MFP
Ink:  Palette Noir Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Stormy Sky
Misc:  Spectrum Noir pens, MS PATP pansy punches

Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge

Today's Speedy Fox and Friends challenge is to use an image from one of the Christmas cards you received.  I loved this card (the one on the right in the photo above) sent from my good friend Kathy Bradley.  However, I couldn't bear to take it apart, so I cheated and copied the Santa from the front of the card and made my card for the challenge.  My card is a center step card.  The stamp set is called "Holly Jolly Greetings" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  I hope I'm not in too much trouble for not following the directions for the challenge! LOL

Stamps:  Holly Jolly Greetings
Paper:  Cherry Slush, imaginisce "Cottage Christmas" paper pad
Ink:  Palette Noir Black
Misc:  Copics, brads, pop dots

I hope you'll join us for the challenge this week.  You could win a great stamp set!
